Kits

These kits make great gifts and kids just absolutely love them. We make each kit ourselves using only real fossils, not plastic or fake ones like most kits on the market. We place the fossils into a soft, artificial matrix that can easily be scraped away with the included wooden scraping tool. The pictures above and below show an example of what the kit may look like once the matrix has been removed. The fossil will not be visible when you receive the kit and you will have to dig to find it. As each fossil is unique, not all will be identical. These kits are described by type below. We welcome wholesale inquiries on these kits. The kit contains examples of three different fossil cephalopods including an orthoceras, a belemnite, and an ammonite fossil. FAQ: Why these kits so cheap if they are real fossils?

Answer: These are grade B fossils. We could not afford to use grade A fossils for these kits. Nevertheless, they are real. Plus, we make these ourselves.
